Sole Proprietorships:  No filing requirements or formal agreement regarding the operations of the business are required, but when you have questions regarding aspects of the law, liability, tax issues or other questions, feel free to give me a call.

General Partnerships:  Again, no filing requirements or formal agreement required, but a formal agreement is highly recommended to spell out the details of the agreement between the parties and address issues with clarity so that there is a clear understanding between the parties of what is expected of each other.

Limited Partnerships:  This is a variation of the general partnership.  This form of organization provides limited liability that the general partnership does not.

LLCs:  A new business entity that is popular with many small businesses, because it contains aspects of both a corporation and partnership.
